Robust Conductive Textiles, ready for Rough Conditions!
Robust Conductive Textiles, ready for rough conditions! Conductive textiles have long been used in excellent RF Shielding applications. The difficulty has always been that these conductive textiles are delicate, thin and tear easily. Seaman Corporation from Wooster, Ohio has continuously manufactured durable high performance coated textiles for decades. These coated textiles are used for roofing solutions, architectural structures, tents and tarps for the military, and Geomembranes. The marriage of Conductive Textiles and a Ruggedized Coating to protect them seemed like a very logical step forward. In March of 2021, Seaman Corporation and V Technical Textiles, Inc. introduced Shelter-Rite® RF. This solution makes it possible to use Conductive Textiles in applications where weather, moisture, and rough handling are often factors. These situations can include:
- Portable Outdoor RF Shelters and RF Curtains.
- Portable Command Posts for Police and Military Personnel.
- Outdoor RF Shielded Enclosures.
- Automotive Testing Chambers.
- Aerospace Cleanrooms.
- Architectural Shielding when applied externally to a previously existing structure.
